Although the weather of Viet Nam from October to  late March or early April is generally affected by  the southeast monsoon, the detail weather of each  part of the country is different. The north  experiences cool, damp winters with temperatures in  Ha Noi falling to around 15°C, extremely in  mountainous north Highland areas, snow sometimes  falls.February and March can be  damp with drizzling rain and sometimes overcast sky.In contrast, the south tends to be very dry on this  season. Temperatures average of this area is around  25-30°C all year with the hottest and most humid  period from the end of February to May. Due to  central location, the Central Part of Vietnam  experiences something in between the weather  patterns of the north and south with the rainy  season in summer. The central coast area is usually  quite wet from December to February. Highland areas  can experience freezing conditions in winter. In  conclusion, weather in Viet Nam from December to  April is ideal to make a trip to Vietnam, especially  the south and Central Highland region.

Sustainable tours

Talk show with Maria Chiara Minciararoni

Talk show with Massimo

From 18 to 20 November 2011 at the lagoon (Tam  Giang-Cau Ha) EVIVA TOUR VIETNAM organized the  Sustainable Tour under the Project in collaboration  with The Embassy of Italy in Hanoi -  Follow in the  footsteps of the Italian Development Cooperation in  Vietnam.

The initiative has supported and saw the  participation of the Ambassador of Italy in Hanoi  H.E Lorenzo Angeloni, the Vice president of the  province of Hue and a large delegation of experts  from Italy.

From a tourist point of view, the principal moment  was the boat trip around the lagoon at the factories  of local fishermen and farmers. From a technical  point of view, the international workshop on  sustainable tourism promoted in collaboration with  the FAO/IMOLA project held at the People of Hue and  commits was no doubt the heart of the programme.

The consensus in terms of participation in the  initiative gained prominence on the national and  local press, testify to the quality of the project  promoted by EVIVA TOUR VIETNAM.

The visit to the lagoon was the first of a series of  sustainable tours under the project. We are happy to  inform the coming sustainable event in March 2012  with the destination of the UNESCO recognized  archaeological site for the preservation of My Son.

Please contact our Business Development Manager, Mr.  Fabio Cappiello, +84 12 3384 0802 for  more information.

Moc Chau  : a district of Sonla

Square: 2025,1 km²

How to get there: Take a car or a local bus from  Hanoi to Son La

If you visit Vietnam from the middle of November  until February, don’t forget to come to Moc Chau  highland. That’s the best time for you to see all  the most beautiful of nature there; and I’m sure  you’ll never forget.

Moc Chau, a district of Son La province, is about  200km from Hanoi. It takes more than 4 hours drive  along National highway 6 with the dry winter that  attracted many tourists. Moc Chau has more than  14.000ha of grass field and half of them are used to  plant tea. All of the tea hills are side by side,  endless to the end of the horizon. The cool wind in  the late autumn make the tea fields become many  green tea waves around you. You not only can see,  but also can smell, can feel the real nature, the  pure weather in deep of your soul. When you walk  along the small road between each tea farm, you will  meet many friendly local farmers. Some of them are  H’Mong or Thai ethnic minorities. They will be very  happy to tell you the stories about planting tea and  teach you the way to collect tea’s leaves. After a  working day in tea farm you can enjoy a cup of tea,  the freshest tea that you’ve ever tasted. Moc Chau  is so peaceful.

But Moc Chau is not famous for tea. Milk is the most  well-known product in this plateau. The breeding of  dairy cows is the main job to improve economic  conditions in Moc Chau. More than 486 households  raise dairy cows, provide fresh milk, yoghurt and  many other milk product for every other countries.

From the middle of November, the tourist can see  more colour in Moc Chau fields. Speacially is the  yellow colour of the Mexican Sunflower. The wild  sunflowers stand on the roadside like small suns to  bring the warmth to everybody. Their beauty is so  beautiful that almost the young people must waiting  for the flower season to visit and take photos.

When the mexican sunflower season is nearly end, the  cabbage flowers are begin blooming. The small white  flowers stand with the yellow flowers make wonderful  lines to decorate the green fields. And in the trees  the light orange of ripen persimmons are the  highlights of the picture that you will miss  forever.

Arriving in Moc Chau in the spring, peach and plum  blossoms are out in full, creating magnificent photo  opportunities . Throughout the valleys, you can see  plum flowers blooming whitening the blue sky. That’s  the great background for all the H’Mong, Thai  women’s colourful dresses. Visit the village, you  will be amazed at the local culture. After the  dinner with local food like black-legged chicken  hotpot, you will have really interesting nights with  Xoe, Sap – ethnic group’s dances and the folk songs.

Not only is green field or impressed flowers, Moc  Chau has many worth visiting caves, waterfall and  brilliantly landscape. Dai Yem fall in the summer  with the height of 100m looks like a huge white  scarf from the sky to the ground. The Bat’s cave  with many other shapes of the stalacities : Money  tree, lion, tiger, eagle…. Stalactite structures was  created naturally make the tourist feel that they’re  in a different world.

Moc Chau Plateau is ideal choice, for those, who  love do discover beautiful untouched Vietnam nature.  It is also indeed a charming place full of character  and culture. Moc Chau – the secret land is waiting  for your discovery.
