After a short visit of Ha Noi Old Quarters with its 36 ancient streets and the Hang Be market, a typical day market in Viet Nam, you will experience an entertaining water puppet show, a traditional Vietnamese art form.

DAY 1: HA NOI ARRIVAL (-/-/-)

Arrive in Ha Noi. Transfer to hotel. Take a short trip to visit Ha Noi’s Old Quarter with 36 ancient streets, Hang Be market – a typical Vietnamese day market and enjoy the water puppet show in the evening. Overnight in Ha Noi.

DAY 2: HA NOI – HA LONG – HA NOI (B/L/-)

Transfer by road to Ha Long for a 4-hour scenic drive. Arrive in Ha Long and board the private boat to visit Thien Cung Cave (grotto of the Heavenly Place) and Dau Go Cave (grotto of the wooden stakes). Enjoy fresh seafood lunch on boat. Back to Ha Noi in the afternoon. Overnight in Ha Noi.

DAY 3: HA NOI – HUE (B/-/-)

Ha Noi city tour for visiting Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, then depart to Noi Bai airport for a short flight to Hue, the former Imperial capital of Vietnam. Transfer to hotel. Visit the Imperial Citadel, Dong Ba market in the afternoon. Overnight in Hue.

DAY 4: HUE – DA NANG – HOI AN (B/-/-)

A boat trip on the romantic Perfume River to visit Hue’s best-known religious site: Thien Mu pagoda, and the Mausoleum of former Emperor Minh Mang and Khai Dinh, built as the plan drawn out by the king himself and on the place chosen by the king too in the middle of the pine forest. Depart for Da Nang, the scenic route passes to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co. Arrive in Da Nang, visit Cham museum, the best collection of Cham artefacts in the world. On the way to Hoi An, take a visit to the Marble Mountain, a large garden mount complex and invaluable gift of nature listed as a national heritage. Arrive in Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 5: HOI AN (B/-/-)

Take a walking tour of the ancient town centre to visit the former merchants' houses, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient pagodas and temples, and the colourful market with shopping time. Afternoon is free to browse for souvenirs in Hoi An or perhaps hire a bicycle to ride to the nearby Cua Dai beach. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 6: HOI AN – DA NANG – HO CHI MINH CITY (B/-/-)

Leave Hoi An after breakfast to Da Nang airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to hotel. Have an afternoon city tour of the dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon. Visit the War Museum, Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the bustling China Town. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 7: HO CHI MINH – YANGON (B/-/-)

Have breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure until departure time to the airport for a flight to Yangon. Arrive in Yagoon, you will be welcome by your tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Have a rest at the hotel until the late afternoon sightseeing starts.

Late afternoon, we will visit the Chaukhtatgyi - the colossal reclining Buddha; the Shwedagon Pagoda – an inspiring golden stupa and view the sunset from there. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 8: YAGOON – BAGAN (flight) / BAGAN FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Bagan. Arrive Bagan and check in at the hotel. Bagan, one of the Asia’s most popular archaeological destinations and one out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia. The sightseeing starts with a visit to Nyaung Oo market – a typical local market; followed by visits to most distinctive pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda – the holiest one believed to be enshrined with Buddha tooth and hair; Gubyaukgyi Temple (Wetkyiinn village) – the 13th century ‘cave temple’ with fine frescoes of scenes from Jakatas; Anada Temple – one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style.

Afternoon, we will visit a lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to local village. Before the sundown, we would take a boat ride along the Ayeyarwaddy River to view the sunset and relax. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 9: BAGAN SIGHTSEEING (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. The second day sightseeing at Asia’s best kept archaeological destination includes a visit to Dhamayangyi Temple – the most massive and significant monument in Bagan with finest mortar-less brickwork; Sulamani Temple – close to the Dhamayangyi temple with more sophisticated style of later Bagan temple; another Gubyaukgyi Temple at Myinkaba village – believed to be built for Rajakumar on the death of his father, King Kyansitta, and famous nowadays for its well preserved wall paintings; Manuha Temple – built by detained Mon King Manuha; Ngagayon Temple – similar to the plan of Anada Temple and the main attraction is that the twice life size Buddha Image shelters under the hood of the naga or serpent inside the temple. We will view the sunset from the top of one of the temples. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY 10: BAGAN – MANDALAY (AMARAPURA AND MANDALAY SIGHTSEEING) (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Fly to Mandalay. Arrive Mandalay and drive to Amarapura, former Royal capital of Myanmar but the suburb of Mandalay nowadays. Highlights include Mahargandaryone monastery, a typical monastic school; U Bein bridge, the world’s longest teak wood bridge across the Taungthaman Lake, an ideal place to view the sunset also; and silk weaving factory. Arrive Mandalay and check in at the hotel.

Afternoon sightseeing includes Shwenandaw monastery, still existing masterpiece of last Myanmar kingdom’s architecture in teak and wood carving; Kuthodaw Pagoda, renowned as the world’s largest book; and Mandalay Hill, regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay, to view the sunset. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 11: VISIT MINGUN/ MANDALAY – YANGOON (flight) (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. From the Mandalay Gawwein jetty, we will take a short boat ride up river to reach Mingun, located at the other side of the Ayeyarwaddy River and north of Mandalay. The boat ride is always pleasant as one can learn the ways of local life along the river. Sightseeing highlights includes Pathodawgyi, believed to be one of the largest brick base in the world and it would be one of the wonders of the world in case if it was completed; Mingun bell, said to be world’s biggest un-cracked ringing bell and Myatheindan pagoda, represents for Buddhist cosmology. Return to Mandalay

Sightseeing at Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar kingdom, includes Mahamuni Buddha Image – believed to be cast in bronze in front of Buddha himself and nowadays gilded with thick gold leaf. Take the late afternoon flight back to Yangon. Arrive Yangon and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Yangon.

DAY 12: DEPARTURE YAGOON (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel. Free at hotel until transfer to the airport for the international flight to another destination. Tour ends.
